Update 1/14/19 Week of Fight

How am I feeling?

If you didn’t know, I am a person that worries I am missing something or that I am not training enough. But I also know and understand my body well enough not to overdo it. But I am feeling good so far. I’m still training and getting myself prepared for battle happening in 5 days. As the day gets closer I get more excited to once again take center ring and battle!

Cutting Weight

Every fight so far I have had to cut weight. I would like to say it gets easier, but I still struggle with wanting to eat. Yes, I have an inner fat kid that wants to eat all my favorite things HAHA! How do I not just eat anything? Discipline and a lot of mental toughness or locking myself in my room LOL.

But for this fight I am on track so far and probably a little ahead of schedule. I know that I will make weight on Friday and be in tip top shape to defend my title.

Schedule for Fight Week

Well, Monday through Wednesday is pretty typical. Work and training but adding in some weight cut. Thursday I take the day to focus on getting my weight down to fight weight. Friday is weigh ins. Saturday is FIGHT NIGHT!

Anything different this week?

Besides cutting weight nothing much. Training sessions vary at this time and my coaches are really preparing me as best they can. Like I said earlier, I worry so to put my mind at ease I am constantly mentally preparing myself and running scenarios through my head. I want to make sure that I do everything I absolutely can to prepare mentally and physically. So I think I have a great work ethic to stick to the norm yet bring in the focus a little more.
